Congratulations to Zavier Robertson (Year 9) winner of the Lifting the Lid on Youth Suicide logo competition. 

The competition was organised by the Lifting the Lid management committee who were looking for a new logo to represent eight colleges/kura in our local area. ( Waiopehu College,  Manawatu College, Horowhenua College, Otaki College, Kapiti College, Paraparaumu College, Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Te Rito, Te Kura-a-Iwi O Whakatupuranga Rua Mano). The committee wanted to have a logo which is more indicative of the area which we represent, mindful that the accepted wording for the brand is Australian.

Zavier explains the logo he designed for the competition represents hope and guidance while raising awareness.  A symbol of hope, like a stylized sun or outstretched hands, shines brightly.  Vibrant colours evoke youthful energy.  This logo aims to inspire conversation and offer support, spreading hope for a brighter future.

Zavier won $250 and the school received $500.
